​Telling the Time in English

​

​The long hand is the minute hand.

(kim dài hơn dùng để chỉ phút)​

​The short hand is the hour hand.

(kim ngắn hơn dùng để chỉ giờ)​

​Cách 1: Say the hour first and then the minutes. (Hour + Minutes)

​ (Đọc giờ trước, phút sau)

Ví dụ:​

• 8:05 - It's eight Oh-five (the Oh is said like the letter O)

• 9:11 - It's nine eleven

• 2:34 - It's two thirty-four

​ Lưu ý: Giờ đúng (kim phút chỉ vào số 12), ta nói HOUR + O'CLOCK.

​ 5:00 - It's five o'clock.

11:00 - It's eleven o'clock.
