Match
Match the followinging parts of the introductory paragraph with their categories.
Sometimes the present is haunted by the memories of childhood.
These “ghosts” from the past can have everlasting effects on the ways in which a person lives their life and interacts with others.
Amir Khan, the narrator of The Kite Runner, is plagued by a choice he made decades earlier. He spends a lifetime attempting to alleviate his own personal suffering and find a way to “become good again” as he remembers a kite fighting tournament from his childhood that accidentally determined his fate.
In The Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini uses imagery and symbolism to show that the title reflects how a loss of innocence during childhood can lead to lifelong scars of regret.
