Some verbs are irregular. Their past forms do not end in -ed. They do not change.

  • Affirmative (+): I/you/he/she/it/you/they took a taxi to the airport.

The negative is formed with did + not + the infinitive without to. The question form: did + subject pronoun + the infinitive without to.

  • Interrogative (?): Did I/you/he/she/it/you/they take a taxi to the airport?
