As children grow older parents have to teach them to become independent.

Parents responsibilities when their children are teens might include setting limits and boundaries, showing you care, and talking through problems or difficulties.

When children are younger parents are the primary caregivers. As they grow teens can become more independent by cooking meals or doing chores around the house. Sometimes teens even have jobs to help with money income.
