Shi began work as a cartoonist. In 2011, she
got a job animating at Pixar. Shi worked on
popular movies like Inside Out. Shi also
worked on The Good Dinosaur, Toy Story 4,
and The Incredibles 2.

Pixar in 2015. Shi was the first woman to
direct a short movie at Pixar. That movie is
Bao. Bao won an Academy Award for Best
Animated Short Film.
