The complete subject tells who or what is doing or being something as well as any words or phrases connected to that noun or pronoun which is the subject :

Hint: Find the verb (linking or action) and think: Who or what is doing or being that? That person, place, thing, or idea is the subject as well as any words or phrases which describe that subject.
