POSSIBILITIES

Go around the house and take 5 different objects. Describe possible uses for the objects without revealing the name to your partner. Remember to use "might", "may" and "can".

EX:

You might/can/may use this to wash your hands in the bathroom.

Answer: soap

DAILY OBLIGATIONS

List three things you have to do every day at home using "must" or "have to." Share your list with a partner and tell them if you like doing them or not.


I have to do the dishes three times a week.
I must take the trash out every other day.

ASKING FOR PERMISSION

Think of a fun or crazy activity you'd like to do. Write a creative note to your parents asking for permission using "can," "could," or "may."

Can I throw a bailão on friday?
Could travel to Japan with my friends?
May I have coca-cola for breakfast?

(USELESS) ABILITIES

Write down two things you can do really well, but you can't use them for something useful. Remember to use CAN for present abilities and COULD for past abilities.

You're talking to a friend who needs help. What advice would you give them using "should"?
