過去分詞とは？

動詞の活用（形が変わること）

動詞は六つの変化形がある。過去分詞はその一つ。
①原形、②現在形、③過去形、④過去分詞、⑤ing形（現在分詞、動名詞）、⑥to不定詞
①run, ②run (runs), ③ran, ④run, ⑤running, ⑥to run

過去分詞の使い方

意味は「される」（受動）か「してしまった」（完了）のどちらか

（１）述語動詞として
　・be＋過去分詞＝受動態（ーされる）: He was killed in the war.
　・have＋過去分詞＝完了形（ーしてしまった）:I have been there once.
（２）形容詞として:
　fried potato（揚げられたポテト）, stolen passpoet（盗まれたパスポート）
（３）副詞として［分詞構文］　＊今日は割愛
