what is descriptive text?

descriptive text is a text that explains about whether a person, an object or a thing.
Dalam mendeskripsikan beberapa hal tersebut, descriptive text identik dengan penggunaan kata sifat dengan struktur kalimat present tense.

Bisa berupa : orang, hewan, benda atau tempat.

STRUCTURE OF DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

• IDENTIFICATION

  Pengenalan objek yang dideskripsikan.

  Bagian identification berisi pengenalan objek yang akan dideskripsikan. Contohnya seperti, ‘what is that object?’ atau ‘where did the object come from?’.

• Description

  Deskripsi objek lebih spesifik.

  Sedangkan bagian description berisi penjelasan yang lebih spesifik dari objek yang sedang dideskripsikan. Di bagian ini, kamu dapat menjelaskan tentang penampilan maupun kepribadian objek tersebut.

• ADJECTIVE

  When describing an object, we definitely use adjectives, such as big, small, tall, short, smart, friendly, etc.

  EXAMPLE :

  Hani so pretty. She has an oval face, rounded eyes, pointed nose, and long hair. She is smart and friendly.

  The Simple Present Tense is usually used to express general facts or truths, as well as habits. When describing an object, we will use this type of tense because what we describe from the object is a fact.

  Adverb of frequency adalah kata keterangan yang berguna untuk menunjukkan seberapa sering suatu kegiatan dilakukan.
