Comparing adjectives

When you compare two people or things you add -ER to the adjective if it is ONE SYLLABLE. e.g. tall - taller than

When the adjectives have TWO or MORE SYLLABLES you must use more to compare. e.g. de/li/ci/ous - more delicious

Some adjectives have a consonant and one vowel. We double the last letter before adding -ER to compare. e.g. flat - flatter
