Habitat
The arctic fox is found in treeless coastal areas of
Alaska from the border from the Aleutian Islands
north to Point Barrow and east to the Canadian
border. They prefer tundra habitat, usually near rocky
shores, and have been observed ranging far out onto
pack ice in winter

Food/Diet
The Arctic fox on many small creatures such as lemmings, voles, ringed seal
pups, fish, waterfowl and seabirds. It also eats carrion, berries, seaweed, and
insects and other small invertebrates.

It looks like a furry white dog that has fierce eyes and can blend very well in the
snow.

Adaptations
What adaptations does your animal have that makes it able to survive in its

Arctic foxes are well adapted to the cold: They are small and stout compared to other
foxes; their short snouts, stubby legs, and little, curled ears help to minimize heat
loss.
