5

Getting there on time.

2

Being ready to work.

3

Reading the board.

4

All of the options...

6

media

There will be a Learning Objective and a

Do Now every day. Make sure you get

make up a Do Now unless you were
absent. EVEN IF you were talking to
another teacher. So DON'T BE LATE !

No Red Ink (NRI)

Due every Sunday at midnight.
Anything submitted after that

will be considered late.

You will have one per week, and
they are due on Sunday so you
have the time to complete them
over the weekend if you have
had a busy week.

They can be completed on your
phone, so not having a laptop is
not an excuse.

This is to help you improve your
English and Grammar.

10

Multiple Choice

How often do we have NRI?

1
Every Monday
2

Never, we're done for the year

3
Once a year
4
Only on weekends

11

media

Homework!

Who really enjoys homework…?

I will only give it under three
circumstances...

When people in class are

not participating…I’m not
a mind reader…

When you need extra

time to complete a long
assignment…

NRI once a week.

12

media

Missing class

Even if you were sick, on

vacation, or just taking a day to
hibernate, YOU are responsible

for what you miss.

Parents must bring a signed

document for an excused

absence within 24 hours (illness,

family death, holidays,

emergencies).

I am not responsible to chase
you down every time you miss
a day. I am more than happy to
help you if you are confused
but I will not hunt you down to
complete an assignment.

Things that are made up without an
excused absence, can get a
maximum grade of a “B”. You will
be losing 2% for each day
submitted late. Anything submitted
in the last week will get a max of a
50 %.

13

media

Submitted Work

If you are ever confused, or need

extra support, that’s what I’m

here for.

I WANT YOU TO SUCCEED!

For the weekly assignments, I will
collect them randomly, so make sure
you are always on top of your work!

You are more than welcome to email
me with any questions you have.

I WILL HAVE ONE DAY A WEEK
WHERE I WILL STAY LATE FOR
ANYONE WHO NEEDS TIME OR
HELP!

It will be announced and posted
every week

14

Multiple Choice

What should you do if you submit something late?

1

Catch me in the hallway and tell me

2

Send a message on Canvas

3

Tell your mom to reach out

4

All of the above

15

media

Drills!

I come from NY where I have

actually been in several

emergencies, and will therefore

tolerate no misbehaving.

If there is a drill in your class,
you will walk together in front of
me.

Follow the line leader carrying
the RED folder with my name on
it.

If you are not with the group
when I get out side, or when we
come back to class, you will get
a referral.

Do not disrespect my presence
by yelling in the hallways or
while we are outside.

16

Fill in the Blanks

17

media

Bathrooms!

Only three people per class.

You need a pass to go

anywhere!

If you don't actually have to use the
bathroom, please don't take the time away
from other people who actually need to go.

Typically there will only be around 20
min per class where there will be time
to go. Because of the signing out that I
have to do, it will interrupt my class
which makes it tough.

If you go more than three times a week,
you are missing important information.
I will reach out to a parent and inquire
as to whether there is a medical
condition I should be aware of.

20

media

No phones, earbuds, smart

watches, not ever!

This is not only my rule but an OCPS rule.

If I see it, I will take it. I will not argue or fight with you,
you will give it to me or give it to the dean. The choice is

yours.

We now have to do referrals for this, so if you don't want

to get in trouble, don't do be tempted!

21

22

Respect me, each other, and
any other grown ups in the

room.

I expect the same respect I

give to you.
