The past participle form is the form that adds an
-ed at the end of a verb usually. Here are some examples in English:

  • Abandon - Abandoned

  • Jump - Jumped

  • Live - Lived

​Please note that this is not always the case in adding an -ed to make a past participle form. For example:

Eat - Eaten

​-AR verbs

In Spanish, to turn AR verbs into their past participle form, simply change the "-ar" ending to "-ado." For example, "hablar" becomes "hablado."

  • Bailar - Bailado

  • Trabajar - Trabajado

  • Contar - Contado

​In Spanish, to turn ER verbs into their past participle form, simply change the "-er" ending to "-ido." For example, "Comer" becomes "comido."

  • Beber- Bebido
