How to Simplify Polynomials

Add and Subtract: Add or Subtract the big numbers on any like terms, leave everything else the same.

Multiplying: Use the Box Method, either a 1x3, 2x2, 2x3 box.

Dividing by One term: Split all top terms into their own fractions, for each fraction divide the big #'s, subtract the exponents. If you have a negative exponent, move the variable and exponent to the bottom and make the exponent positive.

Dividing by more than one term: Use the Long Division strategies I have taught the past couple of days.
