Conjugations
Latin verbs are grouped by the sign of the conjugation in their infinitive form. These
groups are called conjugations. There are four in Latin. The sign of the first is -a, the
second is ē, the third is e, the fourth is i.
1st : amo, amare, amavi, amatus
2nd : moneo, monēre, monui, monitus
3rd: ago, agere, egi, actus
4th: audio, audire, audivi, auditus
