​Formal Observations

observations that last at least 1 hour, are scheduled by mutual agreement between you and your intern (the first time) and involve individual pre and post-observation conferences.

​Informal Observations

observations that last a minimum of 25 minutes and may be unannounced; require a post-observation conference

​The Drop In

observations last a minimum of 15 minutes and usually unannounced; do not require a follow-up conference but do require feedback

​IBOR/Internal Board of Review

consists of a 9-member panel charged with monitoring the St. Louis Plan. The governing body of IBOR is composed of 5 AFT Local 420 appointees and 4 persons named by the superintendent of SLPS. Among its responsibilities, the panel approves or rejects all evaluation reports of the consultant teacher. Six votes are required in either case.
