Troubleshooting is a term used to describe the strategies and methods that you can implement to solve computer problems.
Basic troubleshooting:
Basic troubleshooting can be done by anyone without requiring specialist knowledge of computer system or administrative access to them. These simple steps can be used during basic troubleshooting:
Checking the computer cables.
Restarting the computer.

Basic troubleshooting examples:
Problem: Power button will not start a computer or device.
Cause 1: Power cord is not correctly plugged into the computer and wall outlet.
Cause 2 : Device battery is not charged.
Solution 1: Check the power cord that it is plugged correctly to the computer and the power outlet.
Solution 2: If you are using a laptop, the battery may not be charged. Plug the AC adapter into the wall, then try to turn on the laptop. If it still does not start up, you may need to wait a few minutes and try again.

Problem: An application is running slowly or unresponsive
Cause 1: Application or computer has frozen due to errant instructions in memory.
Cause 2: Application or operating system is out of date.
Solution 1: Close or force quit the application, then reopen the application or restart the device. You can use Task manager (Ctrl+shift+delete)
Solution 2: Update the application or operating system.
