Live Classroom

• I encourage you to attend Live classroom

• When you do attend you automatically receive a 5/5 for attendance

• If you do not attend class with me, you just need to watch the recording and complete the activities for that day

• Your teacher is using the provided Edio lesson to teach and will “guide you” through the lesson.

• Your teacher will focus on what is most important. They may not cover everything during your class time.

• If you DO NOT attend guided instruction (M,W,TH,F), you must complete all questions to receive your five participation points.

• If you skip ANY questions on the lesson, you will receive a 0.

What do Classes look like?

• Participate in class by asking questions, answering questions, or adding thoughtful comments to discussions - Participation can look different for everyone

• Raise your hand if you have a question directly related to the lesson - please do not call out unless you are called upon.

• Please hold non related comments until the end of class or put them in the chat

• Do NOT type in the chat unless it directly relates to the lesson or topics being discussed.

Participation - 35% - Attending or watching live classroom sessions will give you these five participation points.

Tests/Assignments - 65% - Writing, Quizzes, and Tests

CCA - Honor Code

Should the Honor Code be violated, the following actions will be taken:

• In the first instance of a violation of the CCA Honor Code, you will receive a warning from your teacher.

• In subsequent instances, you may receive a zero for the assignment with no option to resubmit.

Baseline Writing Sample: Argumentative

• ​Today, you will practice writing an argument. You have two prompts from which to choose.

• You can respond to the prompts in a number of ways.

• You may respond in an edio text box;

• You can write on a piece of paper, scan it, save it, and upload it to edio;

• or you may write in a word processing document that you will upload to edio.

​Should schools require students to read a certain number of classic literature books each year, or should they focus on more contemporary texts?
