Ordered goods are sent twice a day. - Zamówione towary wysyłane są dwa razy dziennie.
3
My car has been stolen!
The bank robbers were arrested quickly. - Przestępcy, którzy napadli na bank, zostali szybko aresztowani. (Oczywiście - przez policję).
4
4) chcemy podkreślić, że to właśnie ta osoba wykonała daną czynność - jeśli zależy Ci na tym, aby podkreślić, przez kogo została wykonana czynność, zastosuj stronę bierną, a wykonawcę wprowadź na końcu zdania, poprzedzając go słówkiem by, np.:
The ceremony will be led by Mr Williams himself. - Ceremonia zostanie poprowadzona przez pana Williamsa we własnej osobie.
UWAGA! To jedyna sytuacja, kiedy wprowadzamy do zdania w stronie biernej informację o tym, kto wykonał daną czynność!
5
The children watch cartoons every weekend.
Cartoons are watched (by the children) every weekend.
Somobody stole my car.
My car was stolen (by somebody).
6
Ogólna konstrukcja tworzenia strony biernej będzie wyglądała następująco:
PODMIOT + to be + czasownik w III formie + reszta zdania
(wcześniej (odmienione przez (ew. dopełnienie)
dopełnienie) czas i osobę)

say -> It is said that he is lying. - Mówi się, że on kłamie.
believe -> It is believed that the thieves managed to escape to a different country.
49
expect -> It is expected that Mary will pass the test. - Oczekuje się, że Mary zda test.
hope -> It is hoped that the President’s health will improve soon.
know -> It is known that Michael caused the accident. - Wiadomo, że Michael spowodował wypadek.
think -> It is thought that the children have been kidnapped. - Sądzi się, że dzieci zostały porwane.
50
consider -> It is considered rude to eat so loudly. - Uważa się za nieuprzejme jeść tak głośno.
report -> It is reported that two of the paintings have been stolen.
feel -> It is generally felt that the government’s decision has upset many minority groups.
