LEGO ROBOTICS LAB 1.2

​On an iPad, use the Programmer app for sending coding instructions.

You can start a New Program here.

The green tab has motors, display, sound, and brick light coding blocks

The orange tab has sensor, loop, and switch coding blocks

​

This is a single motor block. Here, you can change the motor slot assigned.

Practice changing assigned motors.

Pressing in the top left of the block lets you change other settings.

Practice changing these motor settings.

For instance, here we have Motor A assigned as seconds, B assigned as Degrees, and C assigned as Rotations.

In this area of the block, you can change the power level.

You can type in a specific number, or use the slider. Practice this.

Here we have a loop, it's currently set to infinite.

Whatever is inside the loop will repeat infinitely.

Practice putting motor blocks inside a loop.

Here, we can change it to only repeat 3 times, instead of infinite (Set as Count).

Practice changing this to a number, instead of infinite.

The top right icon can connect your bot to Bluetooth.

Your bot name is at the top of its screen. Connect it to bluetooth now.

Assignment:

• Program this bot to:

  • rotate left for 5 rotations

  • rotate right for 3 seconds

  • repeat infinitely
