F.I.T.T. Plan (from lesson 4.2)

The F.I.T.T. principle consists of four components: frequency, intensity, time, and type.

  • Frequency refers to how often you will exercise or do physical activity (how many days per week).

  • Intensity is how hard your body works during physical activity or exercise (how hard can be described as light, moderate/medium, or vigorous/hard).

  • Time refers to the duration for which each activity or exercise lasts (typically seconds or minutes).

  • Type is the kind of exercise you are doing, aerobic or anaerobic (the specific exercise you are performing).
