Take a minute and re-read the bellringer passage
What is Causing Climate Change?
Climate change is occurring because of the constant fossil fuels burning and
becoming trapped in the greenhouse gas effect. With the particles being
bounced back to earth instead of being released, the world is getting hotter.
With rapidly changing weather, the environment isn’t able to adjust as
quickly. It is resulting in more wildfires, flooding, and hurricanes. As a nation,
we contribute to this problem with the constant usage of cars, industrial
machinery, and burning fossil fuels. Many people are already getting
affected. They are called Climate refugees. It is estimated that the number
of refugees will only increase. It is important to focus on how you can help.
Instead of using your powered vehicle, you can opt to walk, ride a bicycle,
skate, or have mass transit. These changes could go a long way in helping
prevent climate change.
