Abbreviations are shortened forms of longer words or phrases
Abbreviations usually contain letters from the words they shorten.
Many abbreviations start with a capital letter and end with a period.

Subject-Verb agreement happens when the subject and verb of a sentence agree as a singular or plural. The subject and verb must agree in order for the sentence to be correct. When the verb is to be, you must choose the correct form of the verb to agree with the subject.
The verbs am, is, and was are singular
The verbs are and were are plural
When the subject is you, use the verb are or were.
