Properties of Materials

Plywood, aluminium & acrylic

Plywood is generally considered to be cost-effective and cheaper than solid wood

Made by bonding multiple thin layers of wood veneer - giving plywood high strength and durability, making it resistant to warping

Can be easily cut, shaped, and bent, and can be used for a wide range of applications, including flooring, walls, roofing, and even curved surfaces.

Versatile

Plywood

While acrylic is more brittle than some other plastics, it is about 10 times more impact-resistant than glass, often making it a safer option

Impact resistance

Acrylic is derived from crude oil, a non-renewable resource, and has limited recycling options

Not easily recycled

Acrylic is a thermoplastic, and can be heated, shaped, and molded, then cooled to retain that shape. This allows for various applications, including furniture, displays, and lighting.
