How do the words we choose change the way people understand our writing?
2
Effective Word Choice
Effective word choice means choosing words that are:
Clear: They help the reader understand exactly what you mean.
Specific: They give more details and create a stronger picture in the reader's mind.
Purposeful: They match the tone and goal of what you’re writing.
3
Example:
The teacher is giving the rules to the class.
The teacher is explaining the rules to the class.
Using the best word makes your writing more interesting, accurate, and powerful!
