A. Definition
analytical exposition is a text that elaborates the writer's opinion on phenomenon / issues happening around him or her. (analytical exposition adalah teks yang mengelaborasi pendapat penulis atas suatu peristiwa di sekitarnya.)

The purpose of the text is to persuade the readers that the issue is an important matter. (tujuan dari penyajian teks ini adalah untuk mempengaruhi pembaca bahwa suatu isu adalah sesuatu hal yang penting)

1. Thesis
Pada bagian ini, thesis adalah bagian yang memberitahu pembaca tentang topik utama dan sudut pandang penulis. Thesis selalu bisa kamu temukan di paragraf pertama teks.
Di bagian ini, pembaca juga bisa melihat mengapa penulis memberikan pendapat terhadap hal yang menjadi topiknya.

2. Argument
Di paragraf selanjutnya, kamu bisa menemukan bagian arguments. Arguments adalah pendapat untuk mendukung topik utama yang telah disampaikan sebelumnya. Biasanya dalam analytical exposition terdapat lebih dari dua argumen.

3. Reiteration
Bagian ini selalu terletak di akhir teks dan menjadi paragraf penutup tulisan.
Reiteration adalah penegasan kembali posisi dan pendapat penulis terhadap topik utama. Reiteration juga sering disebut sebagai conclusion, yang mana artinya adalah kesimpulan.

Language features of Analytical Exposition
Focus on generic human and non-human participants, e.g.: car, polution, internet, etc.
Use of simple present tense
Use of Relational Processes (Linking Verbs)
Use of Connectives (words that links arguments), e.g.: Firstly, secondly, then, etc.
Use of causal conjunction, e.g.: Although, however, in addition, Because, since, therefore, In conclusion, To conclude, etc.
