The Water Cycle
(1) The water cycle is how water moves around Earth. (2) Water can be a liquid, a solid, or a gas. (3) Water are in the ocean, lakes, rivers, and even underground. (4) Water is also in the air as clouds and vapor. (5) The sun helps water move. (6) The sun's heat make water evaporate from the ocean and lakes. (7) Evaporation is when liquid water turns into water vapor. (8) Water vapor rises into the air. (9) When the water vapor gets cold, it turns back into liquid water. (10) This is called condensation. (11) The water forms clouds. (12) When the clouds get full of water, it falls back to Earth as rain or snow. (13) This is called precipitation. (14) The rain and snow fill lakes and rivers. (15) Then the water evaporate again and the cycle starts over.
