กฎการเติม s es -y +ies ในคำนาม(Noun)

คำนาม =Noun (นาวน์)

คำนาม (noun) ในภาษาอังกฤษแบ่งเป็นสองประเภทคือนามนับได้และนามนับไม่ได้ ซึ่งคำนามนับได้ยังแบ่งเป็นคำนามเอกพจน์ (singular noun) และคำนามพหูพจน์ (plural noun) แต่หลายคนก็ยังสับสนกันอยู่ วันนี้เราจะมาทำความเข้าใจเรื่อง Plural nouns นี้กันให้มากขึ้น

– a watch – 2 watches (นาฬิกา)

– a glass – 2 glasses (แก้วน้ำ)

– a dish – 2 dishes (จาน)

– a box – 2 boxes (กล่อง)

​คำนามลงท้ายด้วย –s -ss –x –z หรือ –sh หรือ –ch ทำให้เป็นพหูพจน์ได้โดยการเติม –es เช่น

– a cat – 2 cats (แมว)

– a girl – 2 girls (เด็กผู้หญิง)

– a house – 2 houses (บ้าน)

 

​คำนามทั่วไปที่เติม -s ท้ายคำได้ทันที เป็นรูปพหูพจน์ที่พบมากที่สุด
