What are some words we need to know?
Divisor- The number outside the radical. Determines how many times a number can go into another.
Dividend- The number inside the radical. This is the number that is being divided.
Remainder- The remainder goes at the very bottom at the end. Sometimes it can be 0,2,3,4,and,5.
Quotient- Quotient is your answer and it goes on top of your radical.

So we have been doing long division with one digit. We know that we have to read the problem carefully and follow our steps. So to the left you should see the example 3/366. The first thing we are gonna do is divide our first number. How many times do 3 go into 3?. Now we go to our second number which is 6 and ask our selves how many times do 3 go into 6?. Then we go to our final number and ask ourselves how many times do 3 go into 6.? By doing all these steps you should be able to get your answer on top of the radical. Now make sure you check your work by multiplying.
