Things you need to know for Multiplying Polynomials

Distributive property- Multiplying the term outside the parentheses by the term inside

Exponent-Tell us how many times a base is used as a factor

Variable- a letter; a placeholder for a number

Constant-a fixed value: a term on its own

Coefficient- a number used to multiply a variable

Like term- Terms with variables raised to the same power
