  • We form the present perfect with the verb HAVE/HAS + PAST PARTICIPLE

    • I have been to Scotland two times.

    • I have been to Scotland two times.

  • If it's a negative sentence, we use HAVEN'T / HASN'T + PAST PARTICIPLE

    • I have not been to Scotland yet.

  • If it's a question we flip the order of the sentences using HAVE YOU / HAS SHE-HE + PAST PARTICIPLE

    • Have you ever been to Scotland?

    • Has she done her homework yet?

Present perfect - time expressions

  • already - už, již

  • ever - už (někdy), zpravidla v otázce

  • yet - ještě, dosud (se záporem) - They haven't come yet.

  • yet - už, již (v kladné otázce) - Have you done it yet?

  • for - po určitou dobu - He's been playing football for a year now.

  • never - nikdy, zpravidla v záporu

  • since - od - I have had the phone since 2018.

  • just - zrovna - I have just eaten.
