PRESENT PERFECT TENSE WITH FOR ANDSINCE

Today we are going to learn how to use the Present Perfect Tense with for and since to describe some actions that began in the past and persist in the present

so... LET'S start from the top!!!

Present Perfect Tense is used to talk about past actions or events that still have a connection to the present: E.g. I have worked really hard this week

• We use for to indicate the duration of an action or event that started in the past and continues in the present:

  E.g. We have taught at this school for a long time.

• We use since to indicate the starting point of an action or event that is still in the present:

  E.g. Silvia has lived here since 1980.
