Light from the light sources fall from the object. Then the light reflects and enter our eyes.That show reflection is when light bounces off an object.
WHAT IS REFLECTION?

The amount of Light reflected from different surface is different
a smooth surface reflects

we use mirror to see object we cannot look at directly. This is possible because the object reflect the light from the light sources onto the mirror
MIRROR
A periscope allows us to see objects that we are not looking at directly. It consists of 2 mirrors to reflect light into our eyes
