For today:

• We will begin by looking at multiplicative comparisons and writing the equation to match

• We will then look at equations and write the multiplicative comparison to match

• Tomorrow, we will look at word problems that contain multiplicative comparisons.

To write a multiplicative comparison as a multiplication equation, replace the

words with symbols. See the example.

• The wording of the comparison will determine where you put the equals sign in your equation.

• The equal sign is not always at the end.
