Ethnocentrism

To some degree we are all ethnocentric.
We need to first accept the fact that we're ethnocentric, then look into ways how to recognize differences between cultures, and not judge them based on our own standards.
It's natural tendency for each of us to believe that our cultural beliefs are the best. But it prevents us from becoming culturally competent and responsive to others who share differing cultural beliefs, traditions, practices, and affiliations.
Cultural Relativism: the opposite of ethnocentrism - view that we should no judge other cultures based on ours.

Write an assimilation guide (poster) for Mr. Ebro when he comes to China from the Philippines. Your group must tell him all the ways you think he needs to prepare so he could assimilate and integrate well with the Chinese culture, and not segregate himself and be a loner for all his life. **sad life**
