2
corresponding angle
The example below shows two parallel lines and a transversal (a line that cross two or more other lines). This results in eight angles. Each of these angles has a corresponding angle. Looking at the two intersections, the angles that are in the same relative (or corresponding) positions are called corresponding angles. Makes the letter F
3
alternate exterior angles
Alternate exterior angles are a pair of angles formed on the outside of two lines that are crossed by a third line. The alternate angles are located on opposite sides of the transverse line. Depending on the nature of the lines, the angles will have some characteristics. For example, if the two lines are parallel, the alternate exterior angles will be equal.
4
exterior angles
1. The sum of the opposite internal angles of a triangle equals the triangle’s exterior angle.
2. In all circumstances, if an equivalent angle is taken at each vertex of the triangle, the exterior angles sum up to 360
3. According to the external angle theorem, the measure of an exterior angle is equal to the sum of the two distant interior angles of a triangle.
5
interior angles
An interior angle is an angle inside a shape. The polygons are the closed shape that has sides and vertices. A regular polygon has all its interior angles equal to each other. For example, a square has all its interior angles equal to the right angle or 90 degrees.
6
alternate interior angles
Alternate Interior angles are congruent.
The sum of the angles formed on the same side of the transversal which are inside the two parallel lines is equal to 180°.
Alternate interior angles don’t have any specific properties, in case of non-parallel lines.
7
supplementary angles
Properties of Supplementary Angles. Supplementary angles have two properties: Only two angles can sum to 180 °-- three or more angles may sum to 180 ° or π radians, but they are not considered supplementary; The two angles must either both be right angles, or one must be an acute angle and the other an obtuse angle; Try It!
