Poll
How do you feel about your division skills?
I am SUPER confident. I could teach this to others.
I feel somewhat confident but feel like I need practice.
I don't feel confident with it yet. I need patience and practice.

When dividing: Make sure you space out the numbers, that your numbers are clear and when possible, we're using graph paper to keep our numbers in order.
Math Tip: Double digit divisor? Work out on the side so you know what numbers to use.
Let's practice a few division problems:

Tavia volunteered to work at the city library for 22 days in the summer. During this time, she checked out a total of 4,686 books. What is the average number of books Tavia checked out each day?
Math Tip:
Do you already have a total?
If yes- you will add or multiply
If no- you will subtract or divide
.
.
Remember to ask yourself what part of the answer you need.
.
.
Will you get your answer from the quotient or remainder? Does your answer make sense?
