Different Types of Rational Numbers

  • Natural, Whole, Integer

  • A natural number is a counting number. It starts from 1 (1,2,3,4,5.........)

  • A whole number: A counting number or zero. (0, 1, 2, 3, 4......)

  • An integer is a whole number or its negative. ( ...... -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3.....)

  • A rational number can be more than one. For example the number 3 would be a natural number, whole number, and an integer. Meanwhile the number -3 would only be an integer.
