ประเภทของคํานาม

สิ่งที่รูปร่างไม่คงที่ ละเอียด นามนับไม่ได้จึงอยู่ในรูปเอกพจน์เสมอ

water (นํ้า) batter (แป้งทําขนมที่ผสมแล้ว)

ถ้าต้องการจะนับปริมาณ หรือจํานวนของคํานามที่นับไม่ได้ จําเป็นต้องนําภาชนะมาบรรจุ

Three cartons of milk. นม 3 กล่อง

A bottle of oil. นํ้ามัน 1 ขวด

Two bottles of oil. นํ้ามัน 2 ขวด
