Homeland Security: What's the issue?
The United States Department of Homeland Security works in the civilian sphere to protect the United States within, at, and outside its borders. Its goal is to prepare for, prevent, and respond to domestic emergencies, particularly terrorism. The department also works to protect our nation from cyber threats, foreign influence activity, threats to the U.S. economy, illegal immigration and natural disasters. Are they effective?

Airport security – Passenger profiling is wrong, period.
Terrorists don’t fit a profile.
We will strengthen the capacity of intelligence and law enforcement around the world by forging stronger international coalitions to provide better information and communication.

The terrorists currently posing a threat to the U.S. are primarily Islamic/Muslim men between the ages of 18 and 38.
