​What is life science?

​Millons of things surround us. We distinguish these things and the world around us as living and non-living based on the similarities that each of these possess. The scientific study of living beings is called life science.

​Living beings possess special charracteristics that make them different from non-living things. They are as follows:

​Unlike non-living things living things can move from one place to another in search of food, shelter,protection from enemies, and favourable wether conditions.

​Animals use their legs to move, birds and insects use their wings, fishes swim, and snakes crawl.

​Although plants do not move, they are considered as living things as their parts show movements. Eg: Touch me not.
