What is life science?
Millons of things surround us. We distinguish these things and the world around us as living and non-living based on the similarities that each of these possess. The scientific study of living beings is called life science.
Living beings possess special charracteristics that make them different from non-living things. They are as follows:
(i) They Move

Unlike non-living things living things can move from one place to another in search of food, shelter,protection from enemies, and favourable wether conditions.

Animals use their legs to move, birds and insects use their wings, fishes swim, and snakes crawl.
Although plants do not move, they are considered as living things as their parts show movements. Eg: Touch me not.
