First, let's start with a review from last class!

Point

  • A point is location with no size or dimension.

  • ​To name a point use a CAPITAL LETTER!

  • A line is made up of 2 or more points.

  • ​It has no thickness or end.

  • ​To name a line use either the lower case letter or two points on the line with the proper notation!

Plane

  • A plane is a flat surface made up of points.

  • A plane extends indefinitely in all directions

  • ​To name a plane use the script uppercase letter or three NON-COLLINEAR points.

Some Other Important Facts

Collinear Points - Points that are on the same line!

​Coplanar Points - Points that are on the same plane!

​Two lines (if not parallel) intersect a point.

​Two planes (if not parallel) intersect at a line.
