Plot: Sequence of events in a story
Setting: Time and place in which the story occurs
Exposition: Beginning/set-up of the story
Conflict: the struggle/problem that needs to be solved

Basic Terms in Plot Structure (2)
Climax - The most dramatic part of the story (usually also a turning-point or where the conflict comes to a head).
Resolution - How the conflict is resolved so the story can end. This ending helps the reader understand the theme or meaning of the story.
