Respiration IN Organisms

2
HUMAN RESPIRATION
As humans breathe in air, which contains oxygen. Oxygen is essential for us and all other animals to survive. Once we breathe in oxygen, our body uses it, along with sugar that we get through eating, to produce energy, which then allows us to be active. This process is known as respiration.
3
AEROBIC AND ANAEROBIC RESPIRATION
Aerobic Respiration: It is the process of cellular respiration that takes place in the presence of oxygen gas to produce energy from food. ... Anaerobic Respiration: It is a process which takes place in the absence of oxygen gas. In this process, the energy is obtained by the breakdown of glucose in the absence of oxygen.
4
Organs of Human Respiratory system
The respiratory system consists of all the organs involved in breathing. These include the nose, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi and lungs.
5
Mechanism Of Breathing
Breathing occurs when the contraction or relaxation of muscles around the lungs changes the total volume of air within the air passages (bronchi, bronchioles) inside the lungs. ... Inspiration occurs when the inspiratory muscles—that is, the diaphragm and the external intercostal muscles—contract.
6
RESPIRATION IN PLANTS
The process of respiration in plants involves using the sugars produced during photosynthesis plus oxygen to produce energy for plant growth. Respiration takes place in the mitochondria of the cell in the presence of oxygen, which is called "aerobic respiration".
