  • Earthquakes follow a Transform Plate Boundary.

  • A result of the build up and release of stress on Earth's Crust.

How can we detect an Earthquake?

  • The Seismograph

  • Measures the shaking, or Ground Motion, that Seismic Waves produce.

  • The Richter Scale runs from 0 and up.

  • The Moment Magnitude Scale: Measures waves based on Quake's size.
