Finding slope from a Table

Slope Intercept Form, y = mx + b

the "slope intercept form" of a line is a convenient way to identify the slope and y - intercept (the point where the line and y axis intersect)

y = mx + b

The slope intercept equation is comprised of two constant terms, namely m and b

y = mx + b

we identify the "m" term to be our slope or rise over run, while the "b" term represents the intersection of the line with the y axis
