• Main Job: responsible for creating bills, which are proposed laws, and approving presidential nominations

• Term: 2 years

• Citizenship: 7 years

• Representation based on: equality (2 per state)

• Age: 30 years old

• Term: 6 years

• Citizenship: 9 years

House: Senate

• Both:  declare war, establish the budget, and create bills

• Senate: ratify treaties and presidential nominations

• House of Representatives: create tax bills
