An allusion is a reference to a person, place, event, text, piece of art, etc.

Ex: He was a Scrooge!

Allusion

A sentence uses repeated consonant sounds at the beginning of each word.

Ex: The deer decided to delve deep into the dark woods.

(The "D" sound is repeated.)​

Alliteration

Words that sound just like the sound they represent.

Example: What does the fox say? ​Dog goes, "Woof" Cat goes, "Meow," Bird goes, "Tweet," and Mouse goes, "squeak."
