Defining Gratitude....
Gratitude is defined as a feeling of warmth toward someone or for something that has been given to you.
Research: In many cultures, it is customary to show gratitude with a returned favor to the giver. When we express gratitude to someone, it benefits both parties, helping us physically, mentally, emotionally, and relationally. Some ways to cultivate a gratitude mindset are by keeping a gratitude journal, writing letters of gratitude, or practicing daily gratitude meditation.
3
There are many ways to practice gratitude. Most of us frequently use "thank you" to show gratitude for help or compliments. This is one part of a universe of gratitude practices. According to researchers, gratitude is defined as a feeling of reverence for something that has been given to you. Sometimes it is thought of as a feeling of warmth toward someone or something as a result of something they've said or done. There are many ways people in different cultures show gratitude. In many other countries outside of the U.S., it is customary to not say "thank you" but rather show gratitude with a returned favor to the giver.
