The Lost Puppy
One sunny morning, Mia and her little brother Jake were playing in their backyard. Suddenly, they heard a soft bark. "Where is that sound coming from?" Mia asked.
They followed the noise and found a small puppy hiding behind the bushes. The puppy looked very hungry and a little scared. “We should help him,” Jake said. “Maybe he got lost.” Mia nodded. “We could make a sign and ask people around the neighborhood.” They made a poster with the puppy’s picture and wrote, “Lost Puppy! Do you know where his home is?” Then they walked around to show the poster to people.
An old man said, “I think I saw someone looking for a puppy this morning.”
Mia and Jake felt hopeful. They walked to the park, where they saw a girl crying. She said she lost her puppy and couldn’t find him.
Jake smiled and asked, “Is this your puppy?” The little puppy ran to the girl and wagged his tail.
“That’s him!” the girl cried. “Thank you so much!”
Mia and Jake were very happy. They promised they would help animals again if they ever needed it.

The Helping Hand
It was a rainy Monday morning when Ella noticed something unusual at school. Her classmate Leo was sitting quietly at his desk, looking sad. During recess, Ella approached him and asked if he was okay. Leo hesitated, then said his umbrella broke, and he got soaked walking to school. He didn’t have dry clothes, and he felt cold and embarrassed.
Ella had an idea. She told their teacher what happened. The teacher quickly found a spare shirt from the school’s lost-and-found box and gave it to Leo. Then, Ella offered to share her snack and invited Leo to sit with her and her friends.
Leo smiled for the first time that day. "Thanks, Ella," he said. "You really helped me."
